Athletes and Parents

The Athlete Academy aims to deliver fun and varied sessions that enhance performance whatever a youngster’s sporting specialism.

Our philosophy involves working in partnership with other sports specific coaches and parents to ensure that youngsters are concentrating on key areas of physical development to improve overall performance.

We do not adopt a one-size-fits-all approach to our strength and conditioning coaching and will undertake a comprehensive health and fitness assessment with every student before recommending a programme. This will be kept under constant review as our working relationship develops over time.

Regardless of whether a young athlete needs to improve their overall flexibility, core stability or speed and agility, we pride ourselves on ensuring that everyone trains safely and effectively.

Our staff are highly qualified, security vetted to work with young people and fully insured. They receive ongoing training on the latest techniques and exercises appropriate for working with developing young athletes.

They can provide you with written progress reports if you wish and will explain why a certain programme is being recommended for a young person.

Talented young sports stars often have gruelling training and competing schedules and we try to adopt a flexible approach to scheduling our training alongside their other sporting commitments.

You love sport, right? And you want to be at the top of your game? Let the Athlete Academy help you improve your performance and have fun at the same time.

Our team help people like you perform to the best of your ability and we know that we’ll only achieve that if what we do is interesting, varied and fun. You’ll sometimes get the chance to train as part of a team. Often you’ll be competing against yourself and trying to better last week’s set of times and results.

It doesn’t matter what sport you play – cricket, hockey, rugby, football, gymnastics or swimming – we can help you get better at it.

The sessions we run are not like PE at school. You’ll get to try out techniques and programmes normally reserved for the professionals. Why don’t you come along and give it a try?
